Technology To Help You Find Your Way

Almost every area of modern technology is moving forwards at an unbelievable rate, but some areas seem to have a little more pace than others. It is the areas of personal computing and entertainment technology that seem to have come on the most, and this is largely down to the increased demand for such products. Navigational technology is another type that has grown beyond belief recently. Here are 3 of the most prominent advances in the last few years.

Sat Navigation
. In-car navigational technology has been around for over ten years now, but its rate of progress has accelerated recently. Their mapping speed and artificial intelligence has reached new levels, and this makes them a great deal more valuable in busy or fast paced driving environments. They have also become a lot more user friendly, with better interfaces and bigger touch screen. You can even get them built into phones now, making them a favourite of cheats on orienteering team building days.

Travel Information. Although public transport has been operating for a great many years, getting access to the necessary dates and times of travel has never been a quick and easy job really. That all changed however when travel operators started publishing their timetables onto the world wide web for everyone to see.  Furthermore, there are aggregator programs that allow you to type in a venue such as ‘Cheltenham’ and they will tell you all the travel routes and times and also tell you any events going on such as Cheltenham hospitality events and festivals.

Peer Tracking
. If you worry a lot about where your children are, or you’re just a bit nosey and like knowing where other people hang out, then you’re in for a treat. Many phone companies are now able to offer a service that allows you to see exactly where your friends and family are, as long as they have signed up and given their consent to tracking also. This is very useful for keep track of people at a festival or large corporate events for example, as people tend to wonder off and get lost quite a bit.
