If you have a teenager to buy for, games consoles are great Christmas ideas for presents that will most likely be on their shopping list if they do not already own these items.
The current players are the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 are all very popular consoles.
At one point, one could only wonder whether there was only going to be room left for two console brands in the market. Nintendo is the eldest surviving competitor, existing from a time before the two newest competitors existed. Nintendo, the oldest player has shown it still has real muscle and has come out guns blazing with the Nintendo Wii.
Why would you choose the Wii when considering Christmas gift ideas? So what does the Wii have over the others? Well it is designed to provide the most interactive gaming experience for gamers yet. Greater gaming interactivity has been desired ever since the era of Arcade machines. The Nintendo Wii is controlled with an interactive controller that you can twist, tilt and rotate to perform actions.
Not only that, but in Nintendo’s marketing campaign, the Wii is being promoted as a social machine. Great to play with friends and your family. It has taken this long for us to see a games console that truly brings the family together, and Nintendo promotes this as one of the features of the product, making it one of the best Christmas present ideas.
Now this is not to say that the PlayStation and Xbox 360 are not great also, it is just to say that the Nintendo Wii has the edge when it comes to interactivity and socializing. The Wii Fit promotes exercise while having fun; a spectacular coup. Nitendo found themselves aa niche that the other players had not tapped.
You should get the teenager the console that they want; try to find out which one it is. Do not buy what seems like the best to you, buy what the teenager wants. Christmas presents ideas are only great if the receiver will appreciate what you give to them.
