6 Mens Gift Ideas That Always Work.
I spend my time writing about mens gifts and mens gift ideas. I get asked a lot about “what gift do I buy for the man who has everything”. He has lots of money so anything he wants he buys.
If a man can buy anything he wants then almost by definition there’s not much left he wants, so don’t expect him to drop lots of hints about what he wants for his birthday, or Christmas. If he really wants it he’s already bought it.
Now of course there’s always men who buy whatever they want up to a certain cost. But over that they can’t afford it. So if your man is like that you need to find out what it is he wants and see if YOU can afford it, often if he can’t you can’t either. But if there are things he wants that he can’t quite afford he will probably drop hints.
But lets assume that he’s got all he wants, and maybe it’s his birthday coming up, or Christmas. What hot mens gift ideas are there that will set his juices going anyway?
Here’s 6 ideas for a mens gift that men love regardless. Now of course not all men are the same, so I can’t guarantee that your man will love all 7, but you’ll find something there he will love. Some are expensive, some aren’t.
1. Lingerie. Men love to see their women in hot lingerie and so if you buy some really hot lingerie and wear if for him I’ll guarantee there’s few men that would be disappointed. And it’s something for you as well, and not expensive.
No matter how many pieces of beautiful lingerie a woman has, if she selects well and chooses the right piece I can just about guarantee her man will love it, provided of course she wears it for him. It’s almost a can’t fail gift.
And there is wonderful lingerie available for women of any size, so girls it’s no excuse to say that you’re a little large. If your man loves you large he’ll love you large and looking great in some sexy lingerie.
2. Adventure gifts. Most men love adventure and adrenalin. Not all, but most. And many women aren’t aware that there are some excellent companies around that cater to this extremely well. It’s possible to find all sorts of adventure gifts for men and women that you would never have thought existed.
So would your man love to try white water rafting? How about parachute jumping? Or maybe he’d love to try a Zero-G ride like the astronauts do? Perhaps drive a supercar or a tank? There’s so many different options.
3. An eco holiday. There is a growing worldwide movement to charity and volunteer and ecological work and travel. Rather than just buy him a holiday in Europe, which is a little ho hum, why not buy him some volunteer travel with a difference. There are lots of companies which offer adventure travel with a twist, volunteer work that helps out those less fortunate than ourselves, both people and animals and the environment.
He may end up on a research vessel in the waters off Mexico counting turtles or in the wilds of Africa measuring the distribution of African animals. The destinations are almost always exotic. There is work to be done but it is so interesting and adventurous and invigorating that he probably won’t even see it as work. It’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s adventurous and it gives back to the environment and to many less fortunate than ourselves helping committed scientists with their research.
It costs, it’s not free, but it’s an extremely unique and fabulous holiday that he’s unlikely to better.
4. Chinese art. I love Chinese art, I have a stack of it at home, but then I lived in China for while. Yixing teapots for example are wonderful and very different. Not expensive but unlike anything that he’s probably seen before. Chinese art makes any house look great.
Chinese art is extremely cheap compared to the equivalent in Western art. And it’s a mens gift with a difference.
5. Why not an elephant painting, again for a man who loves his art. Yes these really are paintings done by real Asian elephants, and done on paper made from elephant dung too. No I haven’t gone mad, you really can get them and they look great too. And an elephant painting hanging on the wall is a great conversation starter at the dining table.
6. And for the man who has absolutely everything and who won’t like anything at all from number 1 to 6, then buy him a whale. It is perfectly possible to do. He doesn’t actually get a whale wrapped in paper to unwrap on his birthday. However there are organizations like the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin trust that track and identify individual whales and dolphins, and allow you to name his own whale or dolphin. There is a real whale or dolphin out there that is named for him.
And the money goes to help protect the whales, and it’s a unique mens gift idea too.
So there you have it, 6 suggestions for great gifts for men who have everything. Ranging in price from or so, to seriously expensive.
No reason to say “I have no idea what to buy him for his birthday” any more, no excuses.
